The X-ray Ordination in the Vienna Private Clinic

On the ground floor of the Vienna Private Clinic is the X-ray ordination, signed by all the patients of the house and out-patients in all health insurance to be activated. For inpatients, the scheduling of the nursing staff.

The following X-ray examinations are performed:

- Heart, lung X-ray
- Skeletal images of the spine, pelvis and joints
- Investigations of the kidneys, bladder, prostate, uterus and ovaries
- Gastric, intestinal investigation
- Mammography
- Bone density measurement in the CT (The investigation is done outpatient and will not be sick of the cash paid)
- Ultrasound

The following types of diagnostic ultrasound in the surgery performed:

- Ultrasound of the abdomen: the discovery of bile and kidney stones, to the exclusion of abdominal tumors and prostate disease and to Pregnant- sonographies
- Ultrasound of superficial structures of the breast, bone, lymph nodes or the thyroid gland with high-resolution transducers
- Doppler and Farbdopplersonographien: for the clarification of vascular diseases
- Computed Tomography
With the CT, it is possible, in the form of cross-sectional images show mul tiple body areas. The investigation, in which multiple recordings are made, done lying. Almost all CT examinations, a contrast agent administered to a limitation of the intestines to the surrounding organs to achieve. CAUTION with: allergies, pregnancy, previous reactions to contrast media.
Bone density measurement in CT
The bone density measurement in CT will lead to the exclusion of osteoporosis.

X-ray examinations for which you have to be sober:

- Computed Tomography (with the exception of bone-CT)
- Ultrasound of the upper
- I.V.P. (Contrast study of the kidneys and the bladder)
- IVCholangiographie (contrast examination of the bile ducts)
- Stomach and small intestine passage
- Phlebography
For investigations which take place in the morning is nothing to eat and nothing to drink!

Important information for Jodallergie

During some of the X-ray examinations, a Jodkontrastmittel injected. If you suffer from a Jodallergie, please tell the ward sister or the X-ray assistant!

Special examination preparation

Irrigoskopie (colon x-ray)
On the eve of the investigation, please only liquid or pulpy food itself (soup, puree, etc.)!
At about 22:00 clock, take an X-Prep (laxatives), and then drink liquid after 1l.
On the day of the study is from 13.00 clock back normal food allowed.
Targeted small bowel double contrast in the passage:
Preparation by appointment.
Ultrasound of the lower abdomen or the urinary bladder:
1l liquid (tea, juice, tap water - no water!) And drink-filled bladder for the study come.

What happens to your X-ray images?

The X-ray images are your property and the findings will be brought into the room.
Keep your X-rays carefully!
The comparison with old X-ray images (also from other institutions) are often crucial for your treatment! Please take your old X-rays to X-ray always with you!
